Printmaking: Commissioned Work

These are examples of my commissioned projects, done with Speedball rubber blocks and Speedball fabric ink. Designs are original and inspired by existing media.

Custom Aprons for North River Greenhouse

A former employer was looking to create a ‘uniform’ for their greenhouse, in the form of aprons that could be worn while attending plants and merchandise. Around 2-3 months were spent ideating, choosing materials, and finalizing designs. This was my first and only foray into screenprinting; all images were created with home-made screens made of embroidery hoops and chiffon fabric.

Custom: Cowboy Bebop and Trigun Western-Style Shirts

A dear friend requested Cowboy Bebop and Trigun inspired designs, so we spent several weeks mocking up patterns, deciding placement, and choosing motifs. I spent another several weeks carving the stamps, dying the shirts, and finally printing on them. My friend documented the whole process via color film, and I photographed the final product with him as my model.
